Elliott Nations
G. Elliott Nations is a
retired educator. He was born and raised on a southern cotton farm. He grew up
during the Great Depression and served in the
United States Army during World War
II. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and history from
Texas
Wesleyan
College and a Master of Arts degree
in education and school administration from the
University of
Missouri. As an educator, he wrote
several articles for professional periodicals. "Tribute to a Former Slave" is
only one of several short stories he has written.
