sometimes he's less than a breath of a thought
sometimes he's hovering in the background
at times he's pulled quite into focus, outlined & severe
other times he is just a feeling

but he's always there
and i'm always here as a breath of a thought in his mind
hovering in the distance
adjusting the focus, crisp & clear
almost fainting as i infuse the feeling...

the answer is out there
somewhere
aware
unaware
in the future of time
uncertainty mine
i own my confusion
i dread it's delusion

my heart in the shadow
my mind in the brink
my love at a crossroads
too frightened to think

so i just sit tight
too frightened to move
his love threatens light
that shadows can't prove
